Mike brings over twenty-five years of financial services expertise to the IMA Retirement team. Before joining, Mike was at OneAmerica and TIAA working with participants and plan sponsors to serve the common goal of a fulfilled retirement. Mike is also an accomplished speaker on a number of topics, including ERISA regulations, plan governance, participant engagement, and guaranteed lifetime income.
Mike has a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He previously served on the boards of the Southern California Golf Association Foundation, The First Tee of Pasadena, and is a past chairman of the PGA Tour’s Nissan Open (now Genesis Invitational).
Outside of work, Mike can be found on the tennis court or soccer field. Mike enjoys playing USTA singles and doubles and is a state level USSF and NFHS Referee, focusing on MLSNext and ECNL competition nationally. While he does not support a single team, Mike loves watching European and South American soccer.
Mike is based in Pasadena, CA with his wife, two daughters, of course, the pups- Mika and Basil.
